Stern Drive Boats

Oil & Filter Change

20 Hour Service

20 Hour Service includes:

Change engine oil & filter.

Check engine motor mounts.

Check idle speed & adjust.

Check condition and tension of belts.

Check hoses and exhaust system for leaks.

Tighten all hose clamps.

Check throttles linkage.

Check shifting.

Check bellows.

Retorque outdrive.

Top off all fluids.

Check steering and lubricate.

Check fuel lines.

Check props for damage & wear and retorque.

Tune-up 4 Cylinder

Tune-up 6 or 8 Cylinder

Tune-up for all size engines includes:

Add fuel system cleaner.

Change spark plugs.

Check distributor cap.

Check rotor button.

Check spark plug wires.

Check timing.

Adjust idle mixture.

Check throttle linkage.

Clean flame arrestor.

Change fuel/water separator.

Seasonal Service

Seasonal Service includes:

Change engine oil and filter.

Replace fuel filter.

Check engine motor mounts.

Check idle speed and adjust.

Check electrical system for corrosion and damage.

Check condition and tension of belts.

Check hoses and exhaust system for leaks.

Tighten all hose clamps.

Check throttles linkage.

Change outdrive oil.

Grease engine to drive coupler.

Check bellows.

Remove outdrive and check engine alignment.

Check gimbel bearing.

Grease gimbel bearing and U-joints.

Grease coupler.

Check splines on outdrive.

Retorque outdrive.

Pull prop and grease prop shaft.

Check shifting.

Check battery with load meter and connections.

Top off all fluids.

Check steering system and lubricate.

Check anodes.

Check prop for damage.

Check fuel lines.

Add fuel system cleaner.

Replace impeller and check for water flow.

Check bellows.

Retorque outdrive.

Check anodes.

Remove outdrive and check engine alignment.

Check for fishing wire.
